Solving common Macintosh problems (continued)
With that said, leave everything else in the Pilot Desktop folder, and the folder itself, as is. The only two icons in the folder you would be interested in double-clicking on (or making aliases for, as above) are for the Pilot Desktop application and the InstallApp application. Don't try to launch either of those applications by double-clicking on any data files, and don't try to start up the HotSync Monitor (as shown above) by double-clicking its icon in the folder. Harmony will be maintained.
There are other things that you'll want to be aware of when you are using your PalmPilot device and software with a Macintosh, and it's easy to learn more. Just point your favorite web browser to http://palmpilot.3com.com and select Support. You'll find more Mac/PalmPilot info there, and you can even download an update for Conduit Manager 1.01. But if you need more help, feel free to call up our technical support staff at 847-676-1441. They're sure to have a Mac-head like you and me to talk to. Don't forget the secret handshake! Just kidding.
