MacPac attack and what case to pack (continued)
The case of the missing airline ticket pocket I rather enjoyed Bob Freud's article about travelling with Palm Pilots. However, I think he missed an important detail, information I've been wanting for some time. I do a lot of business travel and my Palm computer always comes with me. I have yet to find an all-in-one carrying case that meets all my needs. Many cases feature credit card holders, paper pad slots, change pockets, etc -- all great ideas.
However I have yet to find any case that feature an airline ticket pocket that can accommodate the longer length that tickets require, nor one that supports passports in a clever fashion.
If I could find one designed for Palm organizers that also zipped up, I would be in hog heaven. Can anyone at PalmPower point me in the right direction?

Hi there. The nice editors at PalmPower mailed me since they thought I might be able to help you.
If you want a big listing of cases, I have a lot of them on my PalmPilot site (visit http://www.fredlet.com/pilot/pilot.htm). There's a search engine for the cases I have listed there along with reviews from people who use the cases, when available.
Just off the top of my head, here are a couple that would be good for travel:
- Go to http://www.i2iuk.com and check out the Travel Wrap Case. Be forewarned, however. We found this site extremely slow to access.
- You also might want to take a look at 3Com's Deluxe Leather Carrying Case. It's long enough to hold a checkbook, so it might also do for airline tickets (but it doesn't hold a modem). Check out http://www.palm.com and click Accessories.
It might be helpful for you to check out some travel tips I have posted on my site. Visit http://www.fredlet.com/pilot/6.htm for more information.
Let me know if you have more questions. I was thinking about making a section for traveling with your Palm device and you have convinced me it's a good idea to do so!
