PALMPOWER SITE OF THE MONTH
The Gadgeteer
By Heather McDaniel

Geek toys. You've gotta love them. Devices such as Web cams, really cool remote controls, digital cameras, handheld games and, of course, Palm devices are loved dearly by geeks and wannabe geeks alike.

Now, you can get all the information you want about these geek toys at PalmPower Magazine's Site of the Month for June: The Gadgeteer.

The Gadgeteer is a Web site devoted to, well, gadgets. The site is a great resource for those who want to know more about Palm computers and other toys. The site includes reviews covering all kinds of devices.

As shown in Figure A, you can get information on all sorts of products ranging from Casio's GPS wrist watch to DS International's DPK62 keyboard for the PalmPilot Professional, Palm III, and Palm V.

Since this is a big month for the Palm VII, you can also get a second perspective on the Palm VII wireless device from The Gadgeteer at http://www.the-gadgeteer.com/palmvii-review.html.

Webmaster Julie Strietelmeier says that she writes the kind of detailed reviews of products and software that gadget users want to read. She goes on to say "I cut out the fluff and write the truth. I also give people the ability to comment on the product reviews with their own thoughts and experiences."

In case you agree or disagree with Julie, there's a bulletin board to discuss the reviews. The bulletin board is a great place to visit because you can trade stories with other users and see if there are any used devices for sale. There are even forums geared towards women and "Gadgeteer Kids".

The bottom line is that if you love gadgets of all kinds but are afraid to admit it, The Gadgeteer is a great resource. Actually, it's a great resource even if you're proud of your gadget addiction. Be sure to check out The Gadgeteer at http://www.the-gadgeteer.com.
