The other files, including all of those classic literature texts I've finally read, like The Heart of Darkness, A Christmas Carol, and The Call of the Wild (true, I was supposed to have read them all in college), came from Project Gutenberg, at http://www.gutenberg.net. This site has collected tens of thousands of out-of-copyright texts and made them available for free. Chances are that if there is a piece of literature you've always said you would get around to, you'll find it here. Go ahead, broaden your horizons. Try Herodotus, or the complete works of Shakespeare, or Edgar Alan Poe.

The Gutenberg documents usually download as text files, so you shouldn't have to convert them before running MakeDocW. The only tweak you might want to use in MakeDocW is to check "remove CR" and "LF-->CR" in the Line Breaks section. These eliminate unnecessary blank lines, making the document easier to read.

Once you get the hang of it, downloading and reading DOC files on your Palm unit is a cinch. You might even find yourself reading my current waiting-in-line book, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.
