EXCITING CONTEST
Win a Palm m100 in PalmPower's very first scavenger hunt
By Denise Amrich

Welcome to PalmPower Magazine's Scavenger Hunt.

As you probably know, some pretty wonderful advertisers support PalmPower Magazine. We want to do everything possible to make sure our readers and our advertisers get together and do some chillin'. So, in order to encourage you to visit our advertisers' sites and dig around to learn more about them, we've created an exciting new contest, the Official PalmPower Scavenger Hunt.

The great thing about the ads in PalmPower is that every one is potentially useful to you because every one contains information and solutions especially for Palm device users. We often get compliments about them, like the one at http://www.palmpower.com/issues/issue199911/pplte1199002.html.

So, not only do you get a chance to win a really wonderful handheld computer, you get a chance to learn more about how to get the most out of your Palm device. It's a win-win situation where you literally get the chance to win something.

Upon successful completion of the Scavenger Hunt, you'll be entered into a drawing to win the Palm m100. It's true that PalmPower has a heck of a lot of readers, but if you're determined to win an m100, you probably have a really good shot at it. It's fun, the odds are way better than the lottery, and it only takes a few minutes, so go for it!

Where do I look for the answers?
The answers, (either an advertiser's name, product, or both), can all be found on our advertisers' sites. This month's answers can be arrived at by clicking on the ads on PalmPower's Home Page, News Page, and Table of Contents page. Any ad on these pages is fair game. Check the banner ads and the mini-banners at the top of these pages, and the blue text ads at the bottom of these pages. The big banner on the Home Page is a rotating banner, so you may have to refresh your browser a few times, in order to see both the ads.

Then, because we're extra-sly, you may have to do further clicking-around on our advertisers' sites to find the answers.

How do I enter?
Playing is very easy. Just follow the simple steps below to take advantage of this great opportunity to win a fantabulous Palm m100.

  • Read the clues;
  • Click on the ads and "scavenge";
  • Gather the answers (an advertiser's name, product, or both) into an email message. Each question is numbered, so please number your answers appropriately. Please note that there are two answers for question two, so list both answers after the number 2;
  • Be sure to include your name, phone number, email address, and shipping address at the bottom of your email.
  • Send your answers to scavengerhunt@palmpower.com by May 25, 2001;
  • If you 've gotten all the answers correct, you'll be entered into a random drawing for a free Palm m100;
  • The lucky winner will be contacted via email and announced in the June issue of PalmPower.

The clues
Here are the clues that you need to win. Without further ado, why not begin?

Clue #1
Some people say theirs gets a little foggy,
Or that its plural lights the corners of their mind.
But if you want it back the way it was,
You'd be upset if it you couldn't find.
This product is sure to keep it safe and sound,
To find it you might have to click around.

Clue #2
If to foreign nations you must fly,
You need to know what your money will buy.
If to far off places you must go,
There are cultural customs that it might help to know.
What's a traveler to do in exotic locations?
Name the two products, and their companies, which can help in these situations.

Clue #3
If it happens to be a nightmarishly tough install,
Avoid tearing your hair, or going screaming down the hall.
For a limited time, without any payment or fee,
These folks say they'll answer one tech support email for free.

Happy hunting
So that's the drill! Don't miss this great opportunity to be the coolest kid on the block and win your very own Palm m100. Email your contest entry today, to scavengerhunt@palmpower.com.
