Together, maybe we really can change the world (continued)

Interestingly, Heather is using her Palm VII and specialized aftermarket products to support her efforts. Check out her article this month for more details. Although we can't guarantee it, we're hoping she'll be able to email in short progress reports from the ride, and we'll update you each day on our News Page.

The time has come to crack open your wallets and make a donation. Most of us here at ZATZ have contributed in one way or another. Managing Editor Denise Amrich, who also happens to be a certified Yoga instructor, is conducting a number of Yoga benefits to help Heather raise money for the cause. I've personally made a donation, and so has the company. Many of you have met Heather at PalmSource, read her articles here in the magazine, and read the News Page she updated every day for almost two and a half years.

It doesn't really matter how much you donate (although more is always better for such an important cause), but do send in something. We have a huge readership, and most of the time we're caught up in work and our own lives. But here's a way we, the PalmPower community, can band together and help make a dent in something that impacts so many people.

So, here's what you do. You can sponsor Heather's ride online by visiting https://www.ecenroll.com/ECPTW2/SilverStream/Pages/ECEnrollDirectURL?participant=30331&eventcode=VXCN2001.

Just fill out the short form, and you're on your way to making a difference. Maybe one of the scientists this event supports will actually find a vaccine. And maybe, just maybe, a few less people will succumb to this terrible disease.

Scavenger Hunt winner
And now, onto other exciting news. We had a total of 49 submissions to last month's Scavenger Hunt. The correct answers were:

  1. Northstar Mobile's MemorySafe

  2. Power Media's Everyday Everywhere, and neohand's International Traveler series

  3. Enhanced Data Solutions, Inc. (now called The PDA Company)

And the winner was: Wendy Hayes! A Palm m100 will be finding its way to her within the next few weeks. Congratulations, Wendy!
