Visor support, news placement, and Frankenstein's handheld (continued)

Piecing it all together
I recently cobbled together a Palm handheld for my brother using a Palm IIIx motherboard and the screen and case from the Palm III that my daughter ruined. (Of course, exactly how she ruined it is a long story.)

My question is: can I install the 2MB memory card from the old Palm III motherboard into the open slot in the Palm IIIx motherboard in order to bump the memory up to 6MB in the resulting Frankenstein creation? Or will a stunt like that fry both the card and the motherboard?

If anyone out there has a solution, I'd love to hear it. Email me at palmguy@mac.com. If I get an interesting answer, I'll be sure to share it with PalmPower's readers in a future article.
