PALMPOWER PRODUCT OF THE MONTH
Bajou cases gives you the splash of color you want
By Steve Niles

Yap Mun Ching and Nikolaas Walraven at Bajou Enterprise in Selangor, Malaysia found a real lack of Palm handheld cases that reflected what they believed women PDA users were looking for. To fill this gap, they designed a line of attractive cases combining fine Asian silks with colorful, elegant designs. I've selected the Bajou case as November's PalmPower Product of the Month. You can find them at http://www.bajou.com.

At the moment, the Bajou cases come in five different designs: Soho, Tangerini, Piazza, Josie, and 1976. The Soho design is pictured in Figure A.

The Soho design features a strong shade of rose and a cool Mediterranean blue. Roll over picture for a larger image.

The very sharp 1976 design is pictured in Figure B.

You can get quick look at all the designs in the Bajou catalogue at http://www.bajou.com/acatalog/soho.html.

The Bajou case is very soft and is tailored to fit Palm V, Palm m100, and Palm m500 series devices. It can also hold Handspring's Visor Edge. According to Ching, "The uniqueness of the Bajou case is that it serves not only as a protective cover but also transforms the handheld organizer into a very feminine accessory." She adds, "We hope to provide women with the choice of matching their Palm handheld covers to their outfits just as they match their shoes or handbags."

Bajou Enterprise has succeeded in creating some very creative designs. The cases are priced between $29.50 and $31.50. If you're looking for something a little snappier than the usual leather case, then the Bajou case may be for you.
